Hello, Fellow Fraud Fighters From FrankonFraud,

I spent a week out of the country on the beautiful island of Phu Quoc in Vietnam, so I didn’t get a chance to keep up with some of the big fraud news of the week.

But I did get an opportunity to hang out at the pool with my son Finn while trying to stay cool in the island heat.

Why Do Fraud Fighters Love What They Do?

If you love fighting fraud, and chances are you do if you’re reading this, you might have difficulty explaining why you love fighting fraud so much.

There are so many reasons.

While I was there in Vietnam, I had the chance to reflect on why I love being a fraud fighter and why I think many of my close friends do too.

So I wrote this story about my dad and what happened to him and how much a single fraud analyst working deep in the operations of a major US bank had on his life and didn’t even know it.

If you feel like someone is trying to scam you daily, it’s because they are. According to a report by RoboKiller, Americans receive, on average, 400 Robotext a day - many of which originate from scammers.

It’s hitting a breaking point, as millions of Americans are being targeted, and their bank accounts are under siege.

How long will it take for the government to step in? Not long, in fact, there is a groundswell of activity to make big changes in banking and in telecom to protect Americans.

1,300 Scam Fighters Collaborate To Create The Definitive Stop Scam RoadMap

Online scams have become a global epidemic and they are enormously profitable.

And scammers and criminals are almost never caught and prosecuted. According to the Global Anti-Scam Alliance, only 1 in every 2,000 cybercriminals is ever caught.

When 1,300 scam stoppers put their heads together to come up with a plan you know it’s going to be good. And that is exactly what they did at a recent virtual and in-person event.

They recently released a comprehensive 10-point plan to help eradicate the scourge of scams.

I decided to post this because it shows the power of collective intelligence and collaboration.

This is an amazing piece of work!

How can we turn the tide on scams? At the 3rd Global Anti Scam Summit, 1,300 (virtual and physical) participants conceived 10 recommendations to protect consumers worldwide better from scams.
